EVALUATION: QUESTION 1 (DRAFT)

2 comments:

  1. An interesting and intelligent response. One or two small points.

    1) When talking about audience say audience and not "people", or potential fan base. So revise "people"!!!!

    2) I like the way you have discussed the heritage aspect of Britishness. You could here upload specific images. i.e....stills from The French Lieutenants woman, from the BBC interpretaton of "Persuasion", BBC TV "Jane Eyre".

    3) You could say that you have challenged the convention of indie band's music videos being performance based. You have decided to develop a complex narrative to creatively amplify the lyrics (Goodwin) by injecting your mise-en-scene with drama and passion which connotes the literary links to the location. Then add shot/s from TV & cinematic adaptations of novels. I have emailed you these links. This would strongly place your response at Level 4 whilst also adding interest.

    3) In your section on print productions, you need to add that you have used the name of the I have the DVD at school where you could get a screen shot of Jane on the rocks in Derbyshire.

    4) Re your print productions, you could explain how you reinforced the link between the title of the album and the manipulated images of the river on Panel 1,

    5) You may wish to conclude that your music video is strongly cinematic in its structure with a narrative which is strongly structured around memory. You could reference a film example which has a similar narrative. You could add that you have chosen this form of narrative structure to heighten the appeal whilst the ambiguous ending gives the audience an opportunity to create their own ending.
